I usually wouldn't put exclamation points on headlines/entry titles but the deals I got were just too good not to be excited about!!!
September is beauty month! So Priceline has been having crazy crazy crazy sales and deals. All of the stuff in my haul had deals/sales attached to them and it has been delightful!
I've been wanting to buy this for quite some time now as I have found myself breaking out on my chin and cheek areas!
I've always wanted a Clarisonic but my bank account wouldn't be able to handle the hit from one! I've been looking through the web for a cheaper alternative and this one seemed to be the best substitute!
Believe it or not I still found it quite expensive at $35 so when I saw that it was on sale and at $28 I nabbed one! I'm really excited to use this, and I really hope it works for me - and if it doesn't, well, at least it ain't no $169 Clarisonic.
According to the instruction pamphlet it is advisable to change the brush every three months, but I don't know where to buy one yet. I shall scour the internet for that information once I get to that point. Cross the bridge when you get there, Nin.
I LOVE my Rimmel! As you can obviously see. I have a bit of a Rimmel obsession... I actually bought these at two separate Pricelines! He. He. He. (I went to three Priceline shops overall, and believe it or not they had some different deals at each store! More of this to be explained later.)
I've heard a lot about the Colour Rush Lipbalm and how amazing they are, Fleur de Force even mentioned that they're better than Revlon's Lip Balm Stains and those are pretty good!
I REALLY like this colour - it's like a 'my lips but better' shade for me! I also wanted to try the Mascara with Argan Oil and repurchased the Lash Accelerator mascara because I'm loving mine and I don't want to be caught without it one day when it runs out! As for the Apocalips, I've always thought they were all shimmery but upon closer inspection not all of them were so I nabbed myself one!
I was looking for a certain brush from the first Priceline that I went to, so I went to the second Priceline store that I usually visit at the CBD (there are four total Pricelines that I know of in my city, I went to three of them as I have previously mentioned).
Sadly, they didn't have the brush that I was looking for BUT they had a different Rimmel deal! You get eye and lip products for $10 each AND if you spend $20 you get this free pack. I think because this Priceline store isn't frequented by more people the stock for this deal was still available compared to the store at the actual main shopping street.
I bought the Apocalips in Luna and the Colour Rush Balm from this Priceline and got these goodies with it! I've always used the Scandaleyes Liner on my bottom lid lash line so this would be really useful for me! Also the Mascara and the Apocalips shade seem good!
The second Priceline store I went to had stock of the items with 50% off from Essence while the first one I went to didn't! Of course I grabbed the chance to buy some because how cheap can these be at 50% off... and Essence is already really cheap to start with!
I chose all of them because they were on sale, and nothing more - ah, good marketing!
The lipstick, however, I chose bought despite it not being 50% off. I fell in love with the colour and I remember Emily Noel from YouTube reviewing these lipsticks and she said they were good for something so cheap!
Also, for the Matte primer I remember Chloe Morello (also from YouTube) using it in one of her looks. The Lashes Go Wild mascara on the other hand looks like an Eyeko mascara packaging! The brush even has 8 looking curves!
I've heard so many wonderful things about Clump Crusher (especially from EleventhGorgeous of YouTube)! And I was SO happy it was included in the selected items list for the 2 for $22 deal. It would have been around $19 on its own, similar to the Tru Blend foundation!
I was originally hoping on getting Stay Fabulous foundation from Covergirl (I LOVE IT TO BITS) but it wasn't included in the deal, so I opted for the new Tru Blend foundation. I got m6 which I think is a good match for my skin tone... sad thing is it's the darkest shade on the line and I'm not even too dark yet.
I really think they should increase colour selection in Australian drugstore makeup!
AHHH! Finally, I was able to locate the brush that I was looking for!
I've always wanted to buy the Models Prefer airbrush buffing brush but they always seem to be out of stock! I found this at the third Priceline store that I visited, and... again I have been a willing victim of Priceline's marketing scheme.
I bought the Brow Kit just so I could get the free BB brush valued at $22.50! I am pretty excited to use all of these though!
Now onto the quite boring stuff.......
These were 20% off so I decided to grab some since I foresee myself going on overnight trips with friends and at conferences! I've tried and loved the Simple Waterproof Eye and Lip Makeup Remover and I've loved it so I'm gonna give this one a try, too!
And finally some basic Manicare stuff. I was only supposed to buy the Precision Blending Sponge (look at how distorted its packaging has become) but decided to buy some other stuff too since it was a 3 for 2 deal.
Of course I only chose cheap products that I'd actually need and use and here they are! Nothing too exciting... just essential stuff.
I've always loved the Precision Blending Sponge but when my sister dropped mine on the bathroom floor I threw my previous one away. But now I have a new one! YAYYY!
That ends my haul! I also received a $5 voucher for October... which is pretty cool because I'm sure I'll be spending that on the first week. I only received it from the first Priceline I visited... I seriously thought I'd be able to get one from all the Priceline stores I'd visit but the other two didn't give me one. Oh well!
Now go to your local Priceline and bask in the glory of sales and deals this Beauty Month!!! (I am not sponsored, duh, this is my first post ever... I just really love Priceline, their deals and makeup!)
I'll talk to you all next time! I'll probably give reviews and first impressions on some of these products in the near future so watch this space! ;)
With all the love in the world,
